Expenses Proposals as adopted on 18th March 2014  General Expenses

 

•Any expenses incurred by the committee whilst attending committee meetings will be re- imbursed, at the current HMRC rate.

•Accommodation, if needed, will be paid for. • Any reasonable expense incurred by the  Chairperson on committee business or another representative on the committee, in his/her absence, will be paid, including meals, accommodation if required and private car mileage at the current HMRC mileage rate  or full re-imbursement if travelling by public transport. At the FHLTA’s discretion an additional committee member, if required to accompany the Chairperson on his/her business, will have the same expenses paid  British Transplant Games  The Association will pay for the registration fee and Gala Dinner and will reimburse the full cost of travel by public transport for all competitors.  If travelling by private car, mileage will be paid at 60% of the HMRC rate.

• A subsidy of 25% will be given towards each competitor’s accommodation costs. • Any competitor unable to share due to medical reasons will be given a subsidy of 50% of their accommodation costs.  If required a nominated carer shall be afforded the same expenses as a competitor.

Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf.  European Heart & Lung Transplant Championships  All competitors will receive a subsidy of 25% of their full accommodation costs.

• Any competitor unable to share due to medical reasons will be given a subsidy of 50%. • When the location of the Championships is announce the Committee will source the reasonable cost of travel, including luggage, which will determine the level of subsidy from the Association.  If travelling by private car, mileage will be paid at 60% of current HMRC rate but shall not exceed the allowance set. • If required a nominated carer shall be afforded the same expenses as a competitor •

Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf. Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Association Registered Charity Number 700730 www.fhlta.org.uk  If the Championships are to be held overseas, it will be incumbent on competitors to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place before committing to participating in the event.  World Games  •

FHLTA subsidies will be determined every two years in the year that the World Transplant Games are to be held. • Registration fees will be paid for all competitors. • Each competitor will receive a subsidy of 25% of their accommodation costs. •

The total amount of funding may be limited and will be subject to availability of funds and number of competitors.  Satellite events •

All competitors travelling by public transport will have the full amount reimbursed and if travelling by private car then mileage at 60% of the current HMRC rate. • The Chairman, Sports Manager and Children’s Sports Manager shall have all accommodation and travel by public transport paid or if travelling by private car then mileage will be reimbursed at the current HMRC rate.  FHLTA/Exp/JB/18.3.14
