Expenses adopted rules

Expenses Proposal as adopted on the 18th March 2014.

  1. General Expenses.
    1. Any expenses incurred by the Committee whilst attending committee meetings will be reimbursed, at the current HMRC rate.
    2. Accommodation, if needed, will be paid for.
    3. Any reasonable expenses incurred by the Chairperson on committee business or another representative on the committee, in his / her absence, will be paid, including meals, accommodation if required and private care mileage at the current HMRC mileage rate or full reimbursement if travelling by public transport.
    4. At the FHLTA’s discretion an additional committee member, if required to accompany the Chairperson on his / her business, will have the same expenses paid.
  1. British Transplant Games
    1. The Association will pay 100% of the registration fee and Gala Dinner.
    2. A subsidy of 25% will be given towards each competitor’s accommodation costs based on the official accommodation tariff.
    3. The Sports Manager will receive 100% of the package deal. In the absence of the Sports Manager the Assistant Sports Manager will receive the same remuneration.  However if both the Sports Manager and Assistant Sports Manager are in attendance the Assistant Sports Manager will receive 50% of the package deal.
    4. No Travel expenses will paid to or from events.
    5. There will be no financial support for any supporters of the competitors.
    6. Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf.
  1. European Heart and Lung Transplant Championships
    1. It is mandatory that all competitors must have adequate medical Insurance at their own cost.
    2. 25% of the full package price per competitor will be paid.
    3. No Travel expenses will be paid towards the cost of travel to or from events.
    4. There will be no financial support for any supporters of the competitors.
    5. Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf.
    6. If the Championships are to be held overseas, it will be incumbent on competitors to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place before committing to participating in the event.
  1. World Games
    1. It is mandatory that all competitors must have adequate medical Insurance at their own cost.
    2. The FHLTA subsidies will be determined every two years in the year that the World Transplant Games are to be held.
    3. A subsidy of 25% will be given towards each competitor’s accommodation costs based on the official accommodation tariff.
    4. The total amount of funding may be limited and will be subject to availability of funds and number of competitors.
    5. Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf.
  1. Satellite Events
    1. The Association will pay 100% of the registration fee and Gala Dinner.
    2. A subsidy of 25% will be given towards each competitor’s accommodation costs based on the official accommodation tariff.
    3. No Travel expenses will be paid towards the cost of travel to or from events.
    4. There will be no financial support for any supporters of the competitors.
    5. Any competitor unable to attend may have to reimburse the Association for any amounts already paid on their behalf.
