FHLTA Days Out Are Back for 2026!!!

FHLTA Days Out Are Back for 2026!!!

CONNECTING OUR TRANSPLANT COMMUNITY !!!

The FHLTA know the importance of support within our transplant community and what that connection provides.  Last year we launched out FHLTA days out….they were a real success!

In 2026 we are bringing our FHLTA days out back, giving you all the opportunity to stay connected with each other, meet new patients and families of our transplant community.

This year the FHLTA are offering days out that the whole family can enjoy together with other transplant families or together with friends.

The FHLTA will pay for the tickets for these days out for our FHLTA patients and for their families (we will pay for the patient’s ticket and up to 4 members of their family or alternatively 1 of their friends to come along and enjoy the day with you, exception to this is the Christmas Lunch as all are welcome).  All you need to do is arrange your own transport.

Whether you enjoy a Fish and Chips boat trip, history, live entertainment, lunch or afternoon tea, a trip to the theatre, a comedy show  or creating memories with Wildlife……we hope we have something for everyone!

HOW THIS WORKS!

Each Freeman Hospital heart and/or lung transplant patient will be able to choose one event to attend with a friend or up to 4 family members, paid for by the FHLTA.  This also applies to patients who are awaiting transplant.  Please note all are still welcome at the Christmas Lunch so book this separately.

You will still need to book a ticket to reserve your place(s) although this will be FREE of charge.  This is to ensure that we can control numbers and know to is planning to attend.  We will be posting reminders as each day out gets closer and will provide a link to our Ticket Source platform to book your tickets……so watch this space and keep as eye out for information on our social media pages.

We are happy for you to attend any of the days out…..the more the merrier, although to ensure fairness the FHLTA will only pay for one event per patient.  If you want to attend other events you can, although the cost will be yours and you will need to purchase these tickets yourself.  (Please note you can still book onto Christmas in addition to any other event) .

We hope whatever you chose to do you have fun, connect with each other and create friendships and enjoy a day out.  Ahead of your event we will link you in, via a Whatsapp group, with the other people attending your event –  please ensure you add your mobile number and email to the Ticket Source booking.  This is so you can arrange to meet beforehand if you wish or discuss anything with other patients and families who will be planning to attend and the FHLTA Trustee who is organising the bookings.

Please book your tickets via the ticket source links under each event.    Please note that the Ticket Source ticket is only reservation of your place, not an actual ticket for the event.  Once we know the numbers the FHLTA will purchase the correct amount of tickets and send you yours.

If you have any issues or questions please contact: Louise@fhlta.org.uk or Debbie@fhlta.org.uk

Many thanks
