Transplant Outpatient Accommodation

If you travel long distances to the clinic you may be able to use the the transplant accommodation. Please let the nursing staff know if you need accommodation – we will book it for you automatically for each visit (please let us know when you do not need it).

The Freeman Heart and Long Transplant Association (FHLTA) run this accommodation and there is a nominal charge per person per night. The accommodation is always in high demand therefore we can only offer one twin room for the patient and one other.

The keys can be collected from the transplant outpatients if you arrive before 3:30pm or from ward 38 thereafter. We will give you an envelope of information with the key, which explains how to access the accommodation (access code), pay the FHLTA, and return the key.

Accommodation keys need to be returned by 10am the day you leave to allow the room to be cleaned.

Patients on oxygen and children under the age of 14 years are not allowed to stay in the transplant accommodation.

NOTE FROM NOVEMBER 1st 2021:

From November 2021 FHLTA will be using a new accounting system.

ALL BACS PAYMENTS MUST USE THE REFERENCE FLATS

If paying by cheque please fill out the form given by clinic, put in the envelope with the cheque AND  post in the FHLTA box which is located on the wall of the heart waiting room.
