FHLTA Secretary Mary Forster visits Bedmax

Visit to Bedmax, Belford

In April, Keith and I had the pleasure of visiting Bedmax in Belford on behalf of the Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Association (FHLTA). We were delighted to learn that Bedmax has chosen FHLTA as their charity, and we were incredibly impressed by the number of events they’ve held—and are continuing to organise—to raise funds and awareness for the cause.

A particularly moving part of our visit was Keith’s meeting with Tony, a kind and inspiring man who underwent a double lung transplant two years ago. The two of them shared their experiences and challenges, which proved to be both supportive and uplifting for them.

Everyone we met at Bedmax was warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in the work of the FHLTA. We truly appreciated the hospitality and enthusiasm shown throughout our visit.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Bedmax for your support and generosity.
