Play Time At The Children’s Ward

Play Time At The Children’s Ward

The FHLTA recently purchased equipment, including PS5 console with games, baby light projectors and other board, card and fun games for the Children’s ward at the Freeman Hospital.  We hope these will benefit children of all ages and create some positive memories and fun times together with families, as well as help with distraction through what can be a difficult time for all.

Sophie, Play Specialist at Freeman Hospital who accepted the goodies on behalf of the Children’s Ward (pictured) told us, “Our children can stay with us from days to weeks, to sadly years and having play opportunities to offer all ages is much appreciated by staff and families”.

Sophie said, “We send a huge thank you for the amazing donations of electrical games and treats for the children and families on Ward 23 at the Freeman Hospital.  Thank you to the FHLTA for your continued support – having support like this enables the play team to offer great distraction and things to do for everyone using the ward.”
All of us at the FHLTA are thrilled we have been able to offer this help when needed.  We would like to thank everyone who supports the FHLTA charity, as this is the kind of difference donations can make.
